Explore operational excellence in upcoming AME webinars

AME | July 25, 2017

AME members list webinars and regional events as one of their top membership benefits. These members also list budget and travel costs as primary reasons why they are not able to attend certain events. With this in mind, AME is happy to announce a series of webinars, which are low-cost, convenient options to further your lean and continuous improvement journey. Presenters for upcoming webinars include lean safety expert Robert Hafey, Accuride VP of QLMS and EHS Jd Marhevko, AME’s VP of Excellence Awards Michael Bremer, lean gold certified practitioner (and AME board member) Larry Anderson and lean accounting thought leader Jean Cunningham.

First up is Employee engagement and culture change driven by lean safety led by Robert Hafey on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Hafey, who has written two books on lean safety will provide an ethical, people-centric approach to the implementation of lean.

Next is Linking lean and quality systems with strategy plans on August 10, 2017 with Accuride’s Jd Marhevko, who has led four Accuride plants to the AME Excellence Award in the past three years. In her webinar, she’ll focus on developing an aligned lean and quality systems strategy plan using Hoshi Kanri and other tools.

In Use the AME Excellence Award process to improve the way you improve (free) on August 24 2017, AME VP Excellence Awards Michael Bremer will share insights on how you can better implement continuous improvement initiatives at your organization utilizing the AME Excellence Award as a model. Bremer has more than 30 years’ experience in process improvement and is a recent Shingo Award recipient for his book “How to Do a Gemba Walk.”

Get an overview of the lean certification process from Larry Anderson, LCG in the Lean certification overview (free) webinar on September 7, 2017. Webinar participants will be able to ask questions and gain insights on the value of getting certified in lean.

If you’re looking to gain a better understanding of applying lean to the accounting process, you’ll be interested in the Lean accounting leaders webinar on September 21, 2017. It will be led by lean accounting thought leader, Jean Cunningham, who will share knowledge and answers questions about the role of accounting in a lean organization.
