Presenters: Cheryl Jekiel / Mary Pat Knight

Cheryl Jekiel is CEO of the Lean Leadership Center and has over 30 years of manufacturing experience. She has held vice president of human resources positions for a number of companies, including Tri-Arrows Aluminum, Inc., FONA International, Inc., and Flying Food Group. She also served for five years as the chief operating officer at a specialty bakery in the Chicagoland area. She has developed an expertise in lean manufacturing with a particular focus on lean cultures. Jekiel is author of "Lean Human Resources: Redesigning HR Practices for a Culture of Continuous Improvement."

Mary Pat Knight’s 25-year career has spanned marketing, operations, strategic planning, human resources, training, development and executive coaching. As the chief operating officer for Food For Thought Enterprises, Inc., she led the company’s growth and culture transformation. She directed marketing for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and also spearheaded the creation of the marketing arm and the corporate reorganization of The National Restaurant Association’s Educational Foundation. As CEO of MPKnight, Inc. and Leaders Inspired, Knight has provided consultation and mentoring in the areas of strategic planning, human resources, organizational effectiveness, leadership/management development, integrated marketing and project supervision.
