DESCRIPTION

This AME Western Region annual event returns to Southern California this year and features four companies that are demonstrating how to deploy and sustain lean and enterprise excellence at their sites. Here are the companies and some of the lean practices you will witness on the tour:

  • At Alcon in Lake Forest, you will see cellular service and repair operations, gemba boards, leader standard work, kanban/flow and a lean warehouse operations transformation project that supports global service and repair parts distribution.
  • At Oakley in Lake Forest, you will observe a lean product development process with electronic boards, takt pacing, visual controls as well as flow manufacturing, kanban, gemba board, leader standard work and cellular manufacturing.
  • IEHP, in Rancho Cucamonga is a lean healthcare system with leader standard work, gemba boards, member and provider information flow and visual systems. They provide exceptional services with a lean mindset.
  • At Fender Musical Instruments in Corona, you will observe daily Kaizen, one instrument flow, kanban and jidoka (autonomation) and visual factory.

OTHER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

You can become an AME member during the registration process for $150 per year and obtain the discounted AME member rate for this event. Your membership will also entitle you to a registration discount for all future AME conferences, seminars, workshops and webinars for one year. Additionally, you will receive a subscription to the award-winning Target magazine and much more.

Payment or purchase order must be received by the AME office five days prior to the event start date. If no payment or PO number is received, you will be asked to pay with a credit card or check at the event before entry.

Cancellation Policy: Enrollment fee less a $100 non-refundable registration charge will be refunded up to one week before the event. Substitutions may be made up to three days prior to the start of the workshop.
