Shannan Vlieger is the director of operational excellence at Douglas Dynamics, where she leads a team committed to continuous improvement through the Douglas Dynamics Management System (DDMS). She has over 15 years of experience executing CI and waste elimination throughout diverse manufacturing and business processes. Vlieger has an industrial engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Marquette University. She received a six sigma green belt certification from her tenure at Harley-Davidson Motor Company and a lean manufacturing certification from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She is also a certified project management professional from the Project Management Institute.
