The People-Centric Leadership 101 course was designed to provide leaders with a comprehensive overview of People-Centric Leadership and the framework required to build a culture which supports and inspires innovation and continuous improvement. In this interactive, multi-day course participants explore:
- The value and benefits of building a people-centric culture
- The underlying thinking which is critical to drive people-centric behavior
- Key leadership behaviors necessary to build a people-centric culture, including:
• Honest and persistent self-reflection
• Reflective listening and effective communication
• Building relationships
• Confident humility
• Coaching for the development of people
• Celebration and recognition
- The link between building a people-centric culture and the lean/CI tools
- Goal setting, feedback and alignment in a people-centric culture
Lisa Weis is a people-centric, lean/continuous improvement expert, with over 24 years of demonstrated success in helping hundreds of public and private organizations achieve their vision and meet their strategic goals by engaging people, implementing enterprise excellence and inspiring innovation. Weis was part of the core team that developed the U.S. national lean initiative to help small-to-medium-sized manufacturers become more globally competitive as part of the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. She is the lead for curriculum development for the AME People-Centric Leadership initiative and a member of the AME Mid-Atlantic Region board and a member of the AME Everywhere 2021 conference committee.

To fully participate in this virtual event, a high-speed internet connection, speaker/headphones, microphone and webcam are needed. You can become an AME member during the registration process for $150 per year and obtain the discounted AME member rate for this event. Your membership will also entitle you to a registration discount for all future AME conferences, seminars, workshops and webinars for one year.
Payment or purchase order must be received by the AME office five days prior to the event start date. If no payment or PO number is received, you will be asked to pay with a credit card or check at the event before entry.
Cancellation Policy: For paid events, enrollment fee less a $100 non-refundable registration charge will be refunded up to one week before the event. Substitutions may be made up to three days prior to the start of the workshop.
