Dale Crownover has held the position of president and CEO of Texas Nameplate Company, Inc. (TNC) for 26 years and has worked for this 40-person, family-owned business since 1960. His father, Roy, founded TNC in 1946. Crownover began by sweeping floors, then worked in the production areas and in 1989, he assumed duties as president and CEO. His visionary leadership for TNC has resulted in the company receiving numerous awards, including Texas Business of the Year and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in Small Business.

Crownover has authored many publications and is co-author of the book, "Take it to the Next Level: A Story of the Quest for Quality and the Malcolm Baldrige Award."

In 2011, Crownover received the AME Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest recognition of achievement for individual service and contributions to manufacturing excellence.
