Overview

Leadership can, at times, be a demanding endeavor with the numerous responsibilities, meetings, and patient or provider challenges that require attention. It can be challenging to maintain focus on activities that yield true value for both the Leader and the organization. Leader Standard Work (LSW) is a mechanism designed to help identify these areas of value, such as the professional development of personnel, organizational growth, and self-improvement. Furthermore, LSW offers insight into how one's time has been allocated, revealing whether efforts have genuinely been focused on enhancing the team and oneself for the ultimate benefit of patient care.

Presenter

Delia Christian, brings 24 years in healthcare, beginning as a Medical Assistant and progressing to a Director role, I bring 17 years of dedicated leadership experience. A significant part of my leadership tenure has been focused on training, facilitating, and coaching teams in Lean methodologies. I value being present on the floor, which allows me to continuously identify process waste and mentor my leaders in developing new, more efficient processes by eliminating non-value-added activities. My greatest professional satisfaction comes from witnessing the moment an employee or leader realizes their own capacity to drive positive change for their team and patients.
