Value driven Integrated Business Planning: Optimizing resources, costs & cash flow to deliver profitable growth

Overview
In this strategic webinar, attendees will explore why Integrated Business Planning (IBP) often fails to deliver on its promise—and what businesses can do to change that. While IBP is designed to align sales, operations, supply chain, and finance, most organizations still struggle with siloed planning processes, conflicting priorities and execution gaps. This session will uncover the common pitfalls that prevent IBP from becoming a driver of sustainable and profitable growth. Participants will learn how to break through functional silos and build an aligned, enterprise-wide planning model that delivers measurable ROI—ranging from 20x to 100x—by dynamically optimizing inventory, resources, cash flow and profitability.

Presenter

Dean Sorensen is the founder of the IBP Collaborative, a consultancy dedicated to helping manufacturing and supply chain–driven organizations to transform and integrate their financial and operational planning and performance management (P&PM) processes. A key focus of his work centers on helping mature users of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Rolling Forecasts and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to resolve critical flaws in these processes to achieve dynamic cost, profit and value optimization – an advanced state of maturity where organizations can dynamically adjust inventories, resources, and cost structures to consistently deliver profit, cash flow, and working capital targets. Dean brings more than two decades of global consulting and industry experience, having held leadership roles with A.T. Kearney, Accenture, and KPMG. Over the course of his career, he has advised Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized enterprises, and industry innovators on complex transformations spanning strategy, finance, operations and supply chain. His ability to bridge strategic vision with execution has enabled organizations to unlock hidden value, deliver cost and margin improvements and build business models that thrive in highly competitive markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University (Toronto), is a Chartered Accountant (Canada), and has earned the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation from APICS. These credentials underscore his rare combination of financial acumen, operational expertise, and deep understanding of integrated business planning. Through the IBP Collaborative, Dean has established himself as a recognized thought leader on Integrated Business Planning (IBP). His research, frameworks, and client work challenge organizations to rethink how planning is done—showing how IBP, when implemented effectively, can deliver returns of 20x to 100x by aligning strategy with execution and creating true end-to-end visibility across the enterprise. As a frequent speaker, writer, and advisor, Dean is passionate about equipping executives with the insights, tools, and practices they need to compete in today’s dynamic environment. His mission is clear: to help leaders transform complexity into clarity, silos into collaboration, and planning into a strategic advantage.
