KRA: People-Centric Leadership

The purpose of AME's people-centric leadership (PCL) initiative is to support the AME Vision Statement: A manufacturing renaissance driven by People-Centric Leadership coupled with enterprise excellence.

AME is committed to the people-centric leadership movement. We feel this is an awesome responsibility to create a cultural environment in which people can realize their gifts, develop and apply their talents and feel a genuine sense of fulfillment for their contributions in pursuit of a common purpose. PCL involves employees at every level: manufacturing, office staff, management and the CEO. AME offers a variety of events to help you, your co-workers and your company to fully embrace and live the people-centric leadership way.

AME offers courses and events that teach PCL fundamentals:

Listen Like a Leader

Developing a passionate, engaged workforce is the recipe for a thriving, successful business. Accomplishing this requires a foundation of strong communication skills, self-awareness and awareness of others. This course will inspire you to make significant changes in your behavior, in your relationships and in the way you lead others. This three-day course consists of seven interlaced modules. Each attendee will complete a personal assessment prior to the start of the course. This will help you learn about core behavioral tendencies in yourself and others. You can then better appreciate the diverse contributions that team members bring to the table and how they enhance the relationships that are central to your life and work. You will learn the art and science of the communication cycle, how you communicate even when you are not talking, the power of effective listening and new ways to positively address confrontation. Once you have learned the fundamentals of communicating effectively, you will learn how to put all these techniques into practice.
