This week marks six years since I began serving this wonderful organization, and I simply want to say thank you.
It has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life to serve AME and its members. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most passionate, committed and purpose-driven people. You inspire me every day.
This journey has been filled with change and growth. Together, we’ve navigated uncertainty, adapted through some incredibly challenging moments and continued to push forward with a shared belief in people, continuous improvement and the power of manufacturing to strengthen communities. Through it all, AME has remained grounded in what matters most - sharing, learning growing - and respect for the people doing the work.
I am deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, for the candid conversations, the encouragement, and yes, even the tough feedback that has helped us grow stronger. I always share that AME is a community - sometimes it even feels like a family - and that community exists because of you.
Thank you to the AME Board who offered me that opportunity six years ago. In particular, I will forever be grateful for the support of the board chair Bill Fierle and chair elect Wayne Pitchford at the time. I cannot fully describe how much I appreciated these two incredible leaders and their mentorship during those first few years.
Many of you remember that I stepped into this role just one month before the world was turned upside down by a global pandemic. What could have been overwhelming was made bearable because of the extraordinary support of our members and the unwavering commitment of our boards.
During this time, I also experienced personal loss - the passing of my twin sister, my mother and other beloved family members. I truly do not know how I would have made it through without your compassion, kindness and steady encouragement.
Beyond the challenges, this journey has given me something I will carry forever. Deep, meaningful friendships and a sense of community I cherish beyond words. I am profoundly grateful to every one of you and for the care, grace and support you showed me along the way.
As we look ahead, I am more energized than ever about the future of AME and the role we can continue to play in developing people, advancing operational excellence and shaping the next generation of manufacturing leaders.
The past six years have laid a solid foundation, and I know our best days are still ahead. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
