Every AME conference reminds me why this community is so special. We come together to learn, but we leave with much more- new friendships, fresh perspectives, practical ideas, and the encouragement to keep getting better.
That is what I am looking forward to at the AME Milwaukee 2026 International Conference, October 26–29. Our theme, “People First, Progress Together,” captures what makes this experience meaningful. Behind every improvement is a person with an idea, a team willing to try something new and someone willing to share what they have learned.
From inspiring keynote speakers and practitioner sessions to workshops, tours and conversations between events, Milwaukee is an opportunity to step away from our daily routines and see what is possible. Sometimes the idea you need comes from a presentation. Sometimes it comes from the person sitting next to you at lunch. That is the beauty of AME. We bring people together to share, learn, and grow.
Of course, we have a little fun along the way - and our traveling squirrel would never miss an adventure! This little critter has become part of our conference traditions, tagging along as our community connects and learns. If you spot our furry friend in Milwaukee, say hello and grab a picture.
Yes, and…..the real story is you - the experiences you bring, the questions you ask and the connections you make. Whether this is your first AME conference or you have been joining us for years, you have something valuable to contribute.
So, pack your bags, bring your curiosity, and come ready to take home ideas you can put into action. I cannot wait to reconnect with old friends, welcome new faces and experience Milwaukee together.

As always, please stay safe and keep looking out for one another.
