AME TWI Job Relations 10- Hour Class
Overview
TWI Job Relations JR) was developed to help supervisors in WWII lead people and eventually became the foundation of Toyotas "respect for people". The 10 hour virtual JR course consists of five two hour sessions.
In the first session of Job Relations, the trainer presents a real-world problem that everyone can easily relate to and shows the poor ways in which these problems are usually handled in the workplace. The TWI “4-Step Method” is introduced to show how supervisors can handle such problems more effectively to gain better results. The first two sessions focus on learning the methods. The remaining course time is given to participant presentation of actual and current problems participants handle by applying the TWI “4-Step Method”. Unlike any other training, the TWI “learn by doing” methodology requires participants to put what they learned in class immediately to use in the workplace.
Host Company
TDO (Train Develop Organize) is the Manufacturing Extension Partnership center for Central New York. In 2002 TDO founded the TWI Institute which has become a world recognized leader in TWI programs
Presenter
Scott Laundry is a Senior project manager with TDO. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black belt and is a TWI Institute certified trainer in TWI Job, Relations, Job Instruction, Job Methods , Toyota Kata. Scott has been practicing TWI Since 2005 and has taught TWI on 4 continents.
