Two Second Lean Tour of Prestige Woodworks - St. George, Utah USA

Overview
The Owner/CEO Adam Allen will begin by introducing the company and the team and describing what the attendees will see on the tour. This will be followed by a tour of the operations and a Q&A session. The operations are carried out in a relatively small 1,200 sq. ft. shop with traditional machinery and processes.
Simple table saws and hand tools are used in this tight space. Prestige has adopted a one-piece flow system, not only to gain flexibility in time and production, but also to fit within this tight space.
The Company has a total of 17 employees with the owner in charge of sales and marketing. The 5 office staff perform everything from bookkeeping, project management, design, engineering and production planning. The 7 plant personnel craft the cabinets in the shop and 2 employees plus the owner work on-site to assemble the final product.
The attendee will see how Prestige treats each process as if it is a "leanable" manufacturing process. That is, from design all the way to installation they strive to create and kaizen their processes constantly so the giant chain that is their overall process can link properly from step to step.
