Overview

Many organizations know lean tools. Far fewer have people who can apply them consistently to solve real problems, lead change, and deliver measurable business results. This webinar introduces AME’s five-day Lean Green Belt workshop and explains what makes the program different: a practical, hands-on path for developing people who can lead improvement—not simply learn terminology.

We will explore:

  • The role of lean green belts in building a culture of continuous improvement
  • The practical skills participants develop, including PDCA, A3 thinking, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis
  • How green belts connect improvement activity to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement
  • Why hands-on kaizen and real-world application matter more than classroom knowledge alone
  • How the program aligns with the Lean Certification Body of Knowledge
  • The value of a credential backed by AME, the Shingo Institute, and SME
  • What happens after the five-day workshop, including the final exam, six months of remote coaching and peer networking, and the opportunity to earn full Lean Green Belt Certification through a coached kaizen project If your organization wants to strengthen its internal improvement capability—or if you want to develop the skills to lead measurable change—this webinar will show you what the lean green belt journey looks like and how it can create practical value from day one.

PARTICIPANT BENEFITS

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of what a lean Green Belt is expected to do—not simply what Lean tools are called.

They will understand:

  • How the five-day workshop develops practical capability in structured problem solving, continuous improvement, and change leadership.
  • How the program connects Lean methods to measurable operational priorities such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement, and why hands-on application is central to the learning experience.
  • The broader certification path: alignment with the Lean Certification Body of Knowledge, the support of AME, the Shingo Institute, and SME, and the post-workshop journey of examination, coaching, peer networking, and a coached kaizen project toward full Lean Green Belt Certification.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This webinar is designed for manufacturing and operations professionals who want to build stronger internal capability for continuous improvement.

It is particularly relevant for:

  • Plant managers and operations leaders
  • Continuous improvement / operational excellence leaders
  • Engineers, supervisors, and team leaders expected to lead improvement projects
  • Quality, supply chain, maintenance, and manufacturing professionals
  • HR and learning leaders responsible for developing practical problem-solving and leadership capability
  • Individuals seeking a recognized Lean Green Belt credential and a structured path toward certification
  • It is also valuable for organizations evaluating how to create a common Lean language and a repeatable improvement framework across sites and teams.
