Overview

Georgia Power is the largest utility within Southern Company. Its serves 2,127,658 residential, 304,179 commercial, 18,401 industrial/other customers in 159 counties. It has 12,776 miles of transmission lines, 74,828 miles of distribution lines that serve their customer base throughout the state. Its generation fleet is made up of Hydro, Fossil, Nuclear, Solar, Other (Diesel, combined cycle, combustion turbine). It designed and built the Customer Resource Center (CRC), because its customers asked for a place where they could learn more about electric technologies.

The Customer Resource Center educates customers through seminars and demonstrations, while providing solutions to complex problems.  The tour of the CRC will showcase successful partnerships the CRC team has orchestrated by listening to the voice of thecustomer to identify their needs, partnering with a wide range of vendors who deliver potential solutions, and using its state-of-the-art facility to test and determine the best alternative.
