ZF Gainesville, LLC, located in Gainesville, Ga. started operations three decades ago with approximately 80 employees in its first year. Today, the headcount is nearly 600 at three plants. The facility utilizes corporate and global standard lean principles, under the name “ZF Production Systems” (ZFPS), to ensure consistency in safety, quality and productivity despite a diverse product & process portfolio. Employees are encouraged to achieve level certifications in the ZFPS principles which re-enforces a culture of lean at all levels.

At Plant I, you’ll see the production of axle drives for the automotive industry. At Plant II, you’ll see the production of axles systems and steering and suspension components for the commercial vehicle truck and bus industry, gearboxes for light and heavy rail, and axles, transmissions and final drives for construction machinery. At Plant III, you’ll see the production of clutches for commercial vehicle trucks.
