Overview

On this tour, see two manufacturing plants on the site. AstroNova manufacturers cockpit printers and supplies for all commercial aircraft. One plant assembles the printers and data acquisition equipment and the other produces the supplies for the printers. The tour will focus on the cells for the various printers, visual management systems in place, gemba boards and gemba walk and leader standard work. The gemba boards are in all functions of the organization. Some data is collected in Pareto format, for on the spot decision-making.
