Overview

Learn how Airmar began its lean journey through a partnership with an independent consultant, implementing 5S and holding some kaizen events. After a lull in continuous improvement activity, Airmar began working with the NH MEP. Several employees enrolled in the lean certificate course at Manchester Community College. The renewed effort initiated a fluster of activity leading to increased throughput, reduced inventory, and improved quality. See how the company has created a very visual shop employing solid 5S principals and strong visual management principals. The daily gemba walk keeps all concerned up to date with quality, cost, delivery and safety. Hear how all employees are held to the highest level of accountability and how problems are efficiently dispatched using the A3 format.
