AME manufacturing excellence award

The AME Manufacturing Excellence Awards program recognizes North American manufacturing plants that have demonstrated excellence in manufacturing and business operations. The award primarily acknowledges continuous improvement (CI), best practices, creativity and innovation. It supports AME’s mission of inspiring commitment to enterprise excellence through shared learning and access to best practices. AME is the premier organization for the exchange of enterprise excellence knowledge. Members trust AME to assist in their quest for excellence. Come talk with us about the AME Manufacturing Excellence Award criteria and the annual award process. Learn to use the awards criteria as a powerful self-assessment tool for your continuous improvement initatives. The process of becoming a recipient will help raise your organization's confidence that your strategy for your enterprise excellence efforts are in fact on the right track to becoming a world class best practices organization.

AME consortia

Learn how more than 80 members in 10 consortia, from Maine to San Diego, share their stories on lean and continuous improvement (CI) journeys. The consortia help members share, do and get more. Consortia members and facilitators will be on hand to answer questions for lean and CI practitioners who are interested in joining or launching a new consortium, or in becoming a group facilitator. Sharing insights/best practices, together with active networking, enhances members’ effectiveness in their lean/CI initiatives. Its a fact. Consortia participants experience a significant ROI for their time and money invested in their consortia. Information about AME consortia benchmarking activities, mentoring and coaching will be shared.

AME education and training center

Through knowledge and skill development, the center supports the energizing of the American economy. The future of the manufacturing world depends on our youth. Learn about the benefits given and recieved when you participate in our Adopt-A-School program. The program provides opportunities for schools around North America and manufacturers to connect and help students learn all about the great opportunities in manufacturing careers. Come talk to us about the Dr. Sherrie Ford Manufacturing as a Career Path Scholarship program. (Last year we awarded 15-$1500 scholarships during the academic year). What a difference these scholarships make for their future. The AME Knowledge Center offers e-learning modules, DVDs, videos and additional learning opportunities.
