Company

Messier-Bugatti USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Messier-Bugatti-Dowty division of the Safran Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of aircraft wheel and braking systems. It began operations in Walton, KY in 1999 with the start-up of a carbon brake disk plant. The company later expanded to better serve its customers in the aircraft manufacturing industry as well as the airlines and the flying public, adding a wheels and brakes assembly plant at Walton. Tour Hosts

David Bird, a master black belt, was one of the first employees at this site. With experience as a production team leader, continuous improvement leader, machining team leader and supply chain manager, he became the lean champion for the site.

Mike Michele is a vice president and former operations manager at the Walton, KY Wheels and Brakes Plant, Messier-Bugatti USA. He previously served as vice president of global supply chain for the Wheels and Brakes Division of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty in Velizy, France.

Philippe Garnier is a vice president and former quality manager at the Walton, KY Carbon Plant, Messier-Bugatti USA. He also served as quality director at a Velizy, France plant and as vice president at the Walton, KY Wheels and Brakes Plant.
