Speakers: Joe Barto IV / Thomas Barto
Joe Barto IV, a program manager, has been a member of the Training Modernization Group, Inc. team since 2007. He was certified as a lean six sigma black belt by the U.S. Navy. He has led continuous improvement projects for Ball Metal Beverage Packaging, BAE Systems Ship Repair and other organizations. He previously worked as a shipfitter at the Newport News Shipyard. He is a member of the Hampton Roads Quality Management Council (HRQMC).
 
Thomas Barto, program manager and operations manager for Training Modernization Group, Inc., has worked for the firm since 2011. He works within various industries to implement talent acquisition and retention systems, as well as team engagement and leaders development programs. He has served as program manager for TMG’s Vet-STRONG program and as the program manager for the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program. After graduating from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, he was a contracts manager for five years at various government contracting companies.
