In 2016, Illumina's global quality and operations organization introduced operational excellence to drive a continuous improvement philosophy and lean six sigma methodologies within manufacturing and quality operations. Tour attendees will have the opportunity to see and hear how Illumina is using daily visual management, gemba walks and metrics to drive problem solving. Illumina will also show how it is using X-Matrix to develop its operations strategy and how rapid improvement events are making improvements.
