The continuous improvement team at Essex Industries will walk you through how they identify opportunities for improvement and ultimately implement solutions. This tour will cover gemba walks, one of the tools Essex uses to identify waste, and value stream mapping, a visual tool to map out the process in order to highlight bottlenecks and other wastes. Essex has made efforts to get all of its' team members on standard work. Even processes gemba walks have a set standard work sheet that you will see first-hand.
