From ideas to impact: CI champions make it happen
Learn our process and leave with fun activity using markers
OVERVIEW
To move A-dec into the next stage of its continuous improvement journey, the company launched its CI Champion program in 2018. This session will explore how A-dec’s management team recognized the need for change in its existing program and proposed a new way to invest dedicated time and employees to support the CI Champion program.
To onboard champions into their roles, A-dec created a training program that teaches how to facilitate lean tools and concepts and lead change. The program has helped employees build the skills needed to implement and sustain foundational lean practices such as standard work, 6S and one-piece flow.
Participants will also experience one of the program’s training activities — a one-piece-flow exercise using markers, rubber bands and paper.
As a result of the program, A-dec has seen increased employee engagement and expanded opportunities for employees to take on leadership roles.
