The site is currently undergoing a major expansion, scheduled for completion in August, increasing production capacity by 60 percent. This growth positions the plant to meet rising customer demand while strengthening Novonesis’ role as a global leader in biosolutions.
The West Allis team is advancing this transformation through the Novonesis Go for Excellence Program, a companywide commitment to building world-class operations. Visitors will see how the plant integrates leader standard work (LSW) to drive daily accountability, stabilize processes and reinforce a consistent management rhythm. LSW has become a cornerstone of the site’s culture, ensuring leaders are present on the floor, engaged with teams and focused on key priorities.
Another highlight of the tour is the plant’s deployment of training within industry (TWI), a foundational system that strengthens skills, accelerates onboarding and ensures work is performed safely and correctly. TWI has been instrumental in preparing the workforce for the upcoming expansion, enabling Novonesis to scale capability alongside capacity.
