Sparking the shift – How we win in Milwaukee

Using WCSC tools to deliver business results
OVERVIEW
The Milwaukee brewery has been on a world-class journey for many years and uses the principles of World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) to build capability in its people and processes to execute daily and deliver its compelling business need (CBN) of ICARE 350.

The tour will highlight core elements of WCSC, including:

Direction setting (DS) meetings and team room reviews:
Each day begins with a review of the previous day’s results to identify gaps, improve performance and align on the day’s plan, including escalation needs. Weekly direction focuses on behaviors and culture, while monthly direction aligns on business results and strategy.

Equipment ownership (EO) at the point of use:
Frontline employees add value and are supported through the inverted triangle. Teams maintain equipment at base condition and identify defects through planned stops using autonomous maintenance (AM). Connected worker digital tools have streamlined and strengthened EO processes.

Pillar system and daily management:
Pillars are equipped with the people and tools needed to identify and eliminate losses. Participants will experience pillar cadence through daily management system (DMS) ownership and structured continuous improvement.

In addition to production floor stops, participants will have the opportunity to visit the historic brewhouse and Miller Inn, where leaders will be available to answer questions.
