Coaching Continuous Improvement Leaders

This session could explore the shift from teaching lean methods to coaching leaders who can develop problem-solving capability in others. Participants could discuss effective coaching routines, including gemba observation, powerful questions, A3 thinking, reflection, and balancing support withappropriate challenge. The conversation could also address common traps, suchas solving problems for teams, treating coaching as a scheduled event ratherthan a daily practice, or measuring leaders only by project results instead ofthe capability they build.
Idea Exchanges are facilitated, open forum sessions where conference participants have a chance to tell their stories. Other than a pre-defined topic, these sessions are unstructured and rely on the facilitator to keep the conversations flowing. Idea Exchanges are a unique opportunity to learn, share and grow.
