Using Theory of Constraints in industry

October 28, 2026
|
10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Overview

This session could examine how Theory of Constraints helps teams concentrate improvement effort where it will have the greatest impact on flow, throughput, and customer delivery. Participants could discuss ways to identify a true constraint, distinguish it from local inefficiency, and avoid improving non-bottleneck processes that merely create more inventory or complexity. Examples could include linking constraint management with daily management, lean problem solving, capacity decisions and production scheduling.

Idea Exchanges are facilitated, open forum sessions where conference participants have a chance to tell their stories. Other than a pre-defined topic, these sessions are unstructured and rely on the facilitator to keep the conversations flowing. Idea Exchanges are a unique opportunity to learn, share and grow.
