People over tools: Driving high employee engagement through continuous improvement

Using the power of people to build sustained continuous improvement culture

Highlights

Most traditional continuous improvement approaches focus on tools over people. Organizations spend a significant amount of time trying to learn and teach complex tools from Six Sigma and lean manufacturing to our workforce. But over and over, companies fail to sustain or build momentum. This practitioner presentation will look at continuous improvement from a different lens.

Overview

In this session, you will learn:

  • Three powerful strategies to engage and develop employees and drive high productivity and profitability.
  • How to shift your mindset from tool-focused continuous improvement to people-focused continuous improvement.
  • How to engage employees to bring their ideas to life, dial into their WIIFM (what's in it for me) channel and make your company more profitable.
  • Why leadership skills are more important than continuous improvement skills.
