Tour The Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Garden opened more than 40 years ago as a beautiful place to visit, and it has matured into one of the world's great living museums and conservation science centers. Every year, more than one million people visit the Garden's 27 gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline. The Garden also has a renowned Bonsai Collection.

People of all ages, interests, and abilities participate in programs, take classes, and stroll the grounds year-round. The Garden is one of only 17 public gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums.

Special Library Tour and Rare Book Viewing
This tour package includes a rare book viewing, a library tour, and an exhibition tour. Established in 1951, the Lenhardt Library holds approximately 150,000 volumes in its collections, including books, periodicals, rare books, special collections, videos, and the archives of the Chicago Horticultural Society (including approximately 3,000 titles from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries). This tour includes a viewing of selected rare books as well as a tour of the library’s most current exhibition.

There will be free time to tour the gardens, on-your-own, and lunch will be included.
