In this practitioner presentation, Marchell Kunka will present real examples from the implementation of lean at Kennametal Inc. and Lincoln Electric. She'll discuss the results of starting from the mid-management level and the basic principles of how a lean initiative is developed and deployed, including the content and roadmap. She'll also cover how best to engage people in the lean initiative. Enhance your own lean initiative by learning from another practitioner's personal experience.

Since 2017, Marchell Kunka has served as the director of continuous improvement at Lincoln Electric in Cleveland, Ohio, where she is currently leading the company's continuous improvement initiative with a specific focus on changing behaviors and actions. Before joining Lincoln Electric, she worked at Kennametal Inc., holding various positions with responsibilities to develop and deploy operational excellence globally, within all facets of the organization. Kunka has more than 20 years of experience learning, teaching, practicing and coaching lean principles and concepts.
