DESCRIPTION

Artificial IntelligenceArtificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the manufacturing industry, transforming operations from the production line to the executive suite. This session will dive deep into the essence of AI, defining its key components and explaining how it operates at a high level, showcasing its remarkable capabilities. We will clarify common AI terminology and discuss different AI technologies, focusing on how they solve specific manufacturing problems and improve efficiency. Examples will be provided to illustrate where AI excels in manufacturing environments, as well as areas where it is still developing. The webinar will also cover successful case studies of AI implementation in manufacturing, highlight potential pitfalls, and discuss risk management strategies when AI is not used appropriately. We’ll invite participants to share their questions and concerns about AI, offering guidance on how to begin experimenting with AI safely within their operations and how to strategically integrate AI to enhance productivity and innovation in manufacturing settings.

PRESENTER

Nathan EskueNathan Eskue is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, specializing in AI, robotics, manufacturing, project/business management, and rapid iteration prototyping. He holds degrees in business information systems, marketing, operations management, an MBA, and a Master of Science in Data Science from Columbia University. Nathan has spoken at over 60 international conferences on AI, aerospace/defense, quantum, and other technical topics. He’s worked for NASA, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and other aerospace organizations for over twenty years, with experience in product development, project management, supply chain, manufacturing, and AI architecture.

 

Jimmy TimmJimmy Timm is the Managing Director of PPM Global Solution and a distinguished leader in operational excellence with profound expertise in leveraging the latest in continuous improvement methods and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to drive transformative change across industries. A certified Master Black Belt in Lean and Six Sigma, Jimmy specializes in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering innovative workplace cultures through a people-first approach.
