EVENT DESCRIPTION

The digitally connected manufacturing enterprise will reshape the map of U.S. manufacturing. Some call it the connected enterprise, others the internet of things. German industrialists have embraced the term "Industry 4.0." Consultants have generated a ground fog of buzz words around automated factories that rivals the early days of selling ERPs. Enter a group of academics from Ohio State University, led by Ned Hill, pushing "Manufacturing 5.0."

Hill and his team have examined more than 70 current industry reports, forecasts and white papers about the future of digital manufacturing and the digital enterprise. They have had conversations with manufacturers and vendors of automation systems about the future of U.S. manufacturing in a digitally integrated environment. Now, they are ready to discuss their findings with the AME Cleveland Consortium and listen to how the digital future is affecting your companies.
