From the CEO: We're in this together

AME | June 10, 2022

Collaboration is a cornerstone of continuous improvement. AME was created because its founders realized we all gain by sharing, learning and growing together. In 1985, our mission of fostering practitioner-to-practitioner learning across the globe was born; this mission to inspire a commitment to enterprise excellence through experiential learning by bringing people together continues today. It's no stretch to say that a benchmarking tour or best practice exchange can improve the lives of thousands of people. We all win when organizations improve.

On June 15, AME is excited to partner with Virginia SPQA, which provides Baldrige-based training, mentoring and recognition to organizations in pursuit of performance excellence and is charged with administering the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award for Virginia and the District of Columbia. Presented with AARP, the event, From fuzzy ideas to focused results: Strategic planning to filter out noise and drive progress, will explore techniques for developing focused, results-oriented strategic plans grounded in strong ideas and clear priorities.

AARP was recognized by SPQA for its application of the Baldrige Criteria and will share successes and lessons learned in developing and executing a three-year strategic plan involving over 100 stakeholders. The principles and processes showcased in this event can be applied to organizations of any size and scale to maximize efficiency, guide creative thinking and drive effective focus and prioritization within a strategic plan. There are still spots open! You can register on our website here.

The biggest benefit of collaboration is increased productivity, enhanced communication, and employee engagement. Hellen Keller said it best, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

AME is a proud partner of several outstanding organizations, including WiM, the Shingo Institute, CME, SME, and Gemba Academy. Not yet an AME member or soon to renew? AME offers joint membership with WiM and SME at a reduced rate. You can learn more about our reciprocal memberships here. Every collaboration is an opportunity to better serve our members and connect them to valuable opportunities, and we are always looking to partner with new organizations in support of our mission to share, learn and grow. Reach out to me if you are interested in partnering!
